PEER SUPPORT: providing a compassionate listening ear that understands
RESOURCES: providing access to resources without fear or shame for both the officer and their spouse
RETREATS: providing a safe place to worship and grow with others who understand what it's like to be a Christian and a Cop
NETWORKING: connecting officers to faith base professionals as requested
Who we are:
We are a volunteer based organization, we are not professional counselors. We are sworn officers and their families. We believe in God and the Bible in its entirety. We don't believe we should be defined by the statistics of divorce and suicide that plague our career.
Why we exist.
Did you know that approx. 9 out of 10 police marriages will fail. Actual numbers of police deaths by suicide is not widely tracked, but numbers indicate that police in Canada face a suicide rate double the general population* (Carleton et al 2018). Hypervigilance, Social Isolation, Emotional Vulnerability are all side effects of the police life.
